Cover up or Exfoliate?🥰

Updated: Sep 23, 2019

Welcome to Chrysalis' Blog, where we hope to share a little awareness and insight into professional hair and beauty services and products.

We do a lot of makeup for both proms and weddings. One of the most common complaints I get from our beauticians, is that sometimes the makeup and especially foundation sometimes doesn't look as good as it should or that it looks too thick. One of the main reasons that this happens, is that we are not taking proper care of our skin.

It is especially important to have a facial at least every month to remove dead skin cells and rejuvenate the skin. As our skin ages, the process of desquamation slows which can give you the appearance of thickened, grey skin. A good skin care routine is important but a good facial deep cleanse is a must. Ask your beauty therapist for advise on which facial would be most suitable for your skin.

Normally, I have a Matis facial but recently I had the a Smoothing Peeling exfoliation included in my facial. The result was amazing. It helped rid me of my dull winter skin and also made my home care more effective. I also don't need to use as much makeup which is perfect for our hot summer months.

We now encourage all our customers to book in for a facial prior to an occasion or makeup appointment. The result, is that the customers skin is now looking more youthful and radiant.

Hope this has been informative. Thank you for spending your time with me.
